ISLAMABAD: A Foreign Office spokesman has said that the government of Pakistan is taking effective measures to maintain law and order.
Reacting to the French embassy's directive to its citizens to leave Pakistan, the Foreign Office spokesman said that the French embassy's advice to its citizens was based on their assessment and Pakistan was aware of the instructions received from the French embassy.
It should be noted that the French embassy had given a message to its citizens to leave Pakistan. Embassy officials said that we have sent security notes to our citizens in Pakistan. The note was sent to French citizens in Pakistan on the current situation. French citizens have been asked to leave Pakistan for temporary security measures. The French embassy will remain open.
