Manama: The Bahraini airline Gulf Air has made it mandatory for all passengers on the subcontinent to carry a copy of the PCR negative certificate.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, after the Gulf state of Oman and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain also imposed a major ban on travelers from Pakistan.
Bahrain's Gulf Air said in a Twitter message that passengers traveling from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh would be required to show a PCR test negative certificate with a QR code at check-in.
Gulf Air wrote in a short message that regardless of the final destination, the corona virus test should be valid for 48 hours.
Recently, many countries have cut off air links with Pakistan due to increasing cases of corona virus. These include Oman, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom has red-listed Pakistan for air travel due to an increase in corona cases.
