Indian-origin ICC chief executive charged with corruption, sent on forced leave

Dubai: International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Mano Swahne has been sent on forced leave following allegations of corruption.

According to a foreign news agency, Mano Swahne hails from India and was appointed ICC chief executive for three years. He has been sent on leave after allegations surfaced in the ICC's internal audit.  

Manu Swahane was appointed to the post by former ICC chief Shashank Manohar from India. The nature of the allegations has not yet been announced by the ICC.
It is to be noted that Mano Swahne had earlier faced allegations of corruption in the construction project of a sports complex in Singapore after which he resigned from there.
